A graduate of the School of Performing Arts El Galpón (Montevideo). Additionally, she studied with Jerzy Grotowsky, and Antunes Filho, among others. Ms. Deangelo is an accomplished actress having performed in numerous plays and won an array of awards, including a 2004 special Latin ACE for her lifetime work and legacy. In 1998, she became Executive & Artistic Director of IATI Theater, spearheading the effort to restructure the company and secure its place as one of the oldest surviving Hispanic theater companies in New York. In 2009, the Queens Borough President, Helen M. Marshall, awarded her with a special recognition for her dedication and contribution to the performing arts industry in New York City. Ms. Deangelo is thrilled to work with Mario Colón, Boundless Theatre and this amazing team of artists.
