Actríz e Instructora de Teatro egresada del Departamento de Drama de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Rio Piedras, donde fué miembro del Teatro Rodante, dirigido por Dean Zayas. Ha cursado diversos talleres teatrales en Latino América como los ofrecidos por la EITALC en Argentina y Ecuador. Participó durante cuatro años como tallerista de teatro en el Programa “Zone Press” del Departamento de Recreación y Deportes de P.R., talleres de teatro bajo el Programa Dramático del Teatro Coribantes, y en los talleres dramáticos de actuación “Workshop”. Ha participado en Zarzuelas tales como “Cecilia Valdéz”, “La Rosa del Azafrán” y “Antología de Zarzuelas” bajo la dirección de Gil Rene para la Fundación Puertorriqueña de Zarzuela y Opereta. Dirigió y escribió el musical “Vico C: La historia” y produjo, escribió y dirigió el cortometraje “Belleza” el cual recibió primer premio en el Festival Toma Única en Madrid, España. En la actualidad se desempeña activamente como actriz profesional con diferentes compañías productoras nacionales, donde ha participado en producciones tales como “El Principito”, “Othello”, “Grease”, “Gatagarata” y “El Alquimista”; producción con la cual se presentó en el Festival del Teatro Hermitage en Moscú, Rusia. Recientemente ha sido recipiente de los premios a Mejor Actriz en el festival de cine internacional Camino a Europa, Mejor Actriz de Reparto 2012 y Mejor Actriz Principal 2013 y 2017 en el Festival de Teatro Coribantes.

This is her second production with Boundless Theatre Company (Chronicle of a Foretold Death). Laura Isabel is an actress and theater professor. She graduated from the Drama Department at the University of Puerto Rico where she participated on the acclaimed Traveling Theater Company directed by Dean Zayas. She has been part of several theater workshops in Latin America like those offered by EITALC in Argentina and Ecuador. For four years she participated as workshop director for the theater program Zone Press produced by the Sports and Recreation Department of Puerto Rico, and imparted theater workshops at Teatro Coribantes as well. She has starred in Zarzuelas (Spanish Operas) like Cecilia Valdéz, La rosa del azafrán and Antología de zarzuelas all directed by Gil René, produced by Fundación Puertorriqueña de Zarzuela and Opereta. She directed and wrote the musical Vico C: La historia and produced, wrote and directed the short film Belleza that won first prize at the Festival Toma Única in Madrid, Spain. Presently she performs professionally with national theater companies in productions like Othello, Grease, Gatagarata and El Alquimista that was presented at the Festival del Teatro Hermitage in Moscu, Russia. She received the best actress award at the International Film Festival Camino a Europa, and best supporting actress in 2012, best lead actress in 2012 and 2017 all from the Coribantes Theater Festival in Puerto Rico. .
