Jomel Rivera Torres

Jomel Rivera Torres is a guitarist born in Ponce Puerto Rico. He started learning classical guitar at age 16 at the Instituto Juan Morel Campos. Being a rock music fan, he taught himself how to play rock songs and soon after he picked up the electric guitar. After high school, he studied Humanities at the University of Puerto Rico in Ponce and in 1997 he was accepted at the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico to study classic guitar with Eric Reyes Cardé among others. During this period Jomel played with a rock band and started teaching guitar. In 2003 he started a artistic collaboration with actress, singer and composer Nancy Millan that has lasted until the present.
